RONIX FLUID 24” MAST
Stay high, stay consistent, stay fluid. Speed, lift and travel usually override arguably the most important aspect of your mast – the flow. Ronix tested a variety of foils in the marketplace. A theme on many would be feeling the foil setup turning in stages. Each pivot would be good for another “X” degrees until you finally arced through a sectioned turn. Ronix was looking for an effortless turn like you are ripping powder. A shape manifested with a built-in metronome to keep a consistent, prolonged cadence. The temperament of this mast will see you through the progression of flight all the way to second wave exploration nearly 80 feet from the boat. A fluid session will always have you feeling in control of your ride as you comfortably stand upright in a natural foil position. Don’t let it fool you though – still very much capable of jumping on the gas for a port to starboard wave transfer – just with smooth linked predictable turns.
How to select a Ronix Foil/Board Combo
Are you a newbie over 180 lbs looking for a stable ride that's easy to learn on? Pick the longer board and a shorter mast. Are you a newbie under 180lbs? Go with the shorter board with the shorter mast.
Are you a fast-learning whippersnapper? The general rule is that you can maneuver more easily on a shorter board and get more height with a taller mast. Looking for the taller mast foil package? You can find it here. The taller mast package is going to provide a less stable ride (ie. harder to learn on), but will give you more height and less pumps per mile.
